Celebration of the Journey
A new attitude toward one's old being is a gift worth celebrating! New life, the Holy Spirit's gift, must begin with the ability to claim our lives as they have been and as they now are. This retreat provides the means to begin to reclaim more of one's largely neglected personal life, to recall social changes that have occurred over one's lifetime, and to continue along the road with renewed enthusiasm.
Grounded in Scripture, this retreat eases into the reality of aging through the assurance that God is in control and that we have nothing
to fear.
Topics include:
- Celebrating the Journey
- The Sign of Rememberance
- All the Good-byes
- Conversion: turning and re-turing to God
- Is God enough for me?
- The power of affirmation
- The wisdom of the elders
- Reverencing the grace of aging
- Freedom: The gift of hope
- The ministry of encouragement
- The homeless within community and more
